Hello, I'm Antonio L Brooks Sr., a native of Saginaw, Michigan. Growing up in challenging circumstances with my brother in a single-parent home, our surroundings were filled with drugs, crime, and violence. Unfortunately, the environment we were in led us towards the streets and gang life. By the age of 14, I was facing a gun charge, yet support through therapy, counseling, or mentorship was absent during my time in juvenile detention. Reflecting on my journey, I recognize the critical need for guidance and support during those formative years.
This realization has fueled my commitment to helping others avoid the pitfalls I faced. Drawing from personal experiences in both the drug world and mental health challenges, I am a Certified Peer Recovery Coach. Through a blend of professional training and real-life wisdom gained on the streets, I offer a non-judgmental approach to addiction, recovery, and relapse. My background in human services, coupled with a deep understanding of the complexities of life, equips me to make a positive impact by guiding individuals away from destructive paths.
I take a collaborative and solution-focused approach to coaching. By working together, we can identify your strengths, overcome obstacles, and create a plan of action to help you achieve your goals. We will also provide support and guidance, to individuals recovering from addiction. We will collaboratory create a recovery plan and strategically maintain assistance in navigating challenges throughout the recovery process. We have partnership's with organizations that allow us to utilize their services, inpatient and out patient.
I specialize in helping clients who suffer from the ills of addiction and alcoholism by helping connect them to community groups and resources. As well as returning citizens who may be facing challenges that come with being a felony offender, such as job readiness training, soft skills and helping to navigate them to felony friendly places of employment and living spaces.
If you use drugs that may contain fentanyl please go to your local health department or harm reduction specialist and ask for a fentanyl testing kit, it only takes 15 seconds to see if it's safe to use. Also ask for narcan, it has saved countless lives of people that have overdosed. For more information on how to receive services or order these products free of charge
